This event occurred in the early morning hours of Jan. 8., and involved two vehicles. The driver of the van suffered moderate injuries and was transported for treatment. At this time, it is unclear if any charges are pending against him. Investigators are still working on this case. They believe that impairment may have been a factor. Toxicology results are pending.
Car accidents like this occur all too frequently in the state of Louisiana. When they do, surviving victims and the family members of the deceased may feel lost and hopeless. Thankfully, they can seek help fighting for relief and justice. By filing wrongful death, personal injury or any other appropriate legal claims against the responsible party, compensation for any legally recoverable losses — such as funeral expenses, medical costs, lost wages and benefits, and pain and suffering — may be achieved.
