1 dead, 1 injured in recent crash

A Lake Charles man recently lost his life when his vehicle was struck by another car. This crash occurred the morning of Dec. 6 north of Creole. According to state laws, if negligence is believed to have contributed to this incident, the victim's surviving family members may be entitled to seek compensation for their losses through legal means.

According to reports, both vehicles were traveling on Highway 27 when the collision occurred. When the rescue team arrived on the scene, they found a 34-year-old male who had succumbed to his injuries. The other driver was injured; however, to what extent is unknown. Neither driver is said to have had any additional passengers in their vehicles.

Police are in the process of investigating this incident. Charges are believed to be pending, but investigators have failed to say what the charges may be. No other details have been released concerning the cause of this accident.

There is nothing easy about losing a loved one, especially when his or her death is unexpected. It can be even harder to cope with during the holiday season. In this particular case, this victim's loved ones are left trying to pick up the pieces and deal with the emotional and financial consequences of this crash at a time when family is supposed to be close and celebrating. Thankfully, they are not alone, and they can seek relief during this time of need. With the assistance of a Lake Charles-based wrongful death attorney, they may be able to achieve compensation for their losses through negotiation or litigation.
