Nothing can prepare a Louisiana family for the unexpected death of a loved one in an accident. When it happens through, the negligence of another, it is even more difficult to confront. The accident occurred at around 1:45 p.m. The man who was arrested, 24, is believed to have been speeding when he rear-ended the vehicle being driven by 28-year-old D.J., Brad Wedlock. Mr. Wedlock frequently used the stage name, “Brad Striker.”
The driver was arrested for numerous traffic violations and criminal offenses, including speeding, reckless driving, being in possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, a second offense operating while intoxicated (OWI) and vehicular homicide. He also misused a two-way traffic center lane and was not wearing a seatbelt. Mr. Wedlock was declared dead at the scene of the crash.
The emotional impact of a fatal car accident is substantial. People will have enough trouble getting over that before considering the other factors that will undoubtedly come to the forefront. A person who was killed in a car crash might have been a parent, a sibling, a breadwinner and more.
