LA woman killed in fatal accident involving 18-wheeler

The presence of large trucks and eighteen-wheelers are numerous and well known on Louisiana roads. Most people dismiss them as commonplace and are not as aware of the potential danger that these large trucks pose to the average passenger vehicle. The reality is that the sheer size of these vehicles poses a danger to everyone on the road. Such an unfortunate situation occurred to a Louisiana woman when she was fatally injured in an accident involving an 18-wheeler.

According to recent reports, the accident occurred on Louisiana 20 and included three vehicles, one passenger vehicle driven by the victim and two eighteen-wheelers. The accident began when one of the eighteen-wheelers heading northbound crossed into the southbound lane. When it entered the opposing lane, it sideswiped a second 18-wheeler that was heading in the opposite direction before it crashed into the victim's vehicle. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, but this did not prevent the fatal injuries she suffered.

It is a tough situation to endure when a loved one is suddenly lost in a fatal crash. For this Louisiana family, it is likely a very emotional and burdensome time. There is a way for family members to recoup for the sudden emotional and financial losses that a fatal trucking accident can cause. A wrongful death suit could help family members recover losses caused by a negligent party.

Since there is almost no way to expect these types of tragedies, many are unsure of the processes to follow at such a difficult time. There can be much confusion surrounding a fatal accident, therefore, it is important to take steps to become more informed. This could help family members navigate a civil action, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
